Making Disciples Everywhere!

Tandem Ministries (the name for the NZ Ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ International) is an interdenominational Christian ministry that seeks to help people reach their world with the good news of Jesus.

Global Vision

We have partnerships in other areas of the world including Fiji, Thailand, East Asia, Europe and the Middle East where students, graduates, volunteers and staff are helping people reach their nation for Christ.

Together we can be a part of seeing spiritual movements develop everywhere so that everyone will know someone who is truly following Jesus.

In 1951 one couple, Bill and Vonette Bright, stepped out in faith to begin Campus Crusade for Christ at UCLA in Los Angeles.   In their first year over 250 students came to know Christ and the movement began.

Their rallying cry was ‘reach the campus today, win the world tomorrow’. They recognised that university students were the future influencers of society.

As this student movement grew, it rapidly spread to other campuses and to many other sectors of society. Today Campus Crusade for Christ International (CCCI) has ministries in over 190 countries.

In Tandem Ministries we are proud to continue this legacy.

I am so motivated by the simple vision of ‘making disciples everywhere’. This happens when faithful believers (Heb 11:6) are trusting God outside of their comfort zone, introducing others to Christ and helping them grow in their relationship with Him. Seeing this happen in any context whether on a university campus, sports team, work place, community centre or at home in the family is how New Zealand will be changed to a nation of Christ followers. Tandem’s focus is helping you make disciples.

I know as a student I greatly benefited from a friend, Jeff, who introduced me to Christ as a 20 year old. For two years he helped me grow as a young Christian and taught me to be a disciple maker. I am so thankful to Jeff for walking with me for those 2 years of my life and now I want to make sure every Kiwi gets that same opportunity.

Can I challenge you to be ‘Salt and Light’ (Matt 5:13-16) and step out in faith as you trust God to make disciples everywhere!

In Christ Alone,

Justin O’Malley

National Director for Tandem Ministries
