Using the GodTools App

There was a time when people carried a gospel tract in their back pocket or purse in case they had an opportunity to share the gospel. GodTools is a mobile app that functions as a collection of multilingual gospel presentations and much more.
GodTools started as an app which included gospel presentations in a number of different languages but it has become more than that. As well as having several different gospel presentations such as Knowing God Personally, The Four Spiritual Laws, and The Four in over 100 languages (including Chinese, Hindi, Māori, Samoan and Tongan), GodTools has expanded to include many other resources, including lessons to help people overcome the most common hurdles that keep Christians from sharing their faith.
The multilingual aspect of GodTools is one of its most powerful features. Not only are the gospel presentations available in over 100 languages, but there is also a bilingual mode where you can easily switch between two languages, for example, if you want to share a gospel presentation with someone who is not fluent in English, you can switch between English and any of the other languages with a simple tap of the screen.
As well as gospel presentations, there are also tools to help start spiritual conversations such as Openers and The Emoji Survey. These are tools that you can use to start a conversation and get to know someone when they may not yet be ready for a gospel presentation.
As the designers of the GodTools app talked with people using the app, they found that there were common barriers that got in the way of people being able to become active in sharing their faith. Things like fear of how people might respond, or not knowing how to take a conversation deeper, or how to answer hard questions. These barriers led to the Lessons section on the GodTools app, a series of short interactive lessons that guide someone through a biblical response to how to overcome these barriers.
With all of this, the GodTools app is a great resource for every Christian to have, both for those opportunities for spiritual conversations, and also to prepare themselves for when those opportunities arise.
