Reflecting on 50 Years of Tandem Ministries

Welcome, friends of Tandem Ministries! We are Justin and Heather O’Malley, and we have the privilege of serving as National Directors for Tandem Ministries here in New Zealand. As we celebrate our 50th anniversary—from 1971 to 2021—we want to take a moment to honour this incredible journey and to recognize the role you’ve played in it.

Over these five decades, we’ve seen God do amazing things through this ministry.This milestone is more than just a marker of time; it’s a testament to the countless lives touched, the communities transformed, and the faithful who have stood with us through the years. This journey has been guided by a set of core values—both strategic and deeply personal—that have shaped our path and sustained our vision for bringing the Gospel to New Zealand and beyond.

On a personal note, we want to say a heartfelt thank you. We have felt your prayers and your support in more ways than words can express. Some of you have been standing behind us for 20 years, lifting us up and helping us serve on the front lines of ministry. You have supported us financially, yes, but more importantly, you have been partners in every sense of the word. Your encouragement and prayers have been invaluable to us and our family as we’ve walked this journey together.

Because of you, we have been able to continue this work with confidence, knowing we’re not alone. You are equal partners with us in all that God is doing here in New Zealand and around the world. Every step we take, every person we reach, every heart we see changed for Christ—you are right there with us.

So as we celebrate these 50 years, let’s also look forward to what God has in store. We believe the best is yet to come, and we are excited to continue this journey with you. Thank you for being part of the Tandem Ministries family. We are grateful, humbled, and honored to serve alongside you for His kingdom.
